Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last year of junior high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. When she was between the ages of 9 and 16 the first time she was exposed to the business world was when she started modeling. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock has received the similar training received by Jeff Goldblum and Leslie Nielsen. Her first role was in Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to relocate to Los Angeles. The role was as the leading lady in Johnny Mnemonic in which she performed almost all her stunts herself, and established herself as a talented actor. Through the agents of Matt LeBlanc that she was to be able to get a regular part on Friends.
